The Mountaineer is a stunning cedar log cabin that has a total area of little more than 2,000 square feet. It is the primary residence of the Mountaineer family and is known for its elegance and sophistication.
This log cabin is perfect for families of any size due to the expansive layout of the main floor, as well as the fact that it features many stories, each of which can function as a separate living room. In addition, the log cabin features multiple living areas.
Porches are one of the elements of this log cabin that stand out as being among the most appealing characteristics. Around the log cabin are many decks and porches in various configurations.
Every one of them is roomy, lovely, and just the thing for either unwinding on one’s own or entertaining friends.
We are quite enthusiastic about the prospect of this location playing host to our loved ones on the weekends, which would include our friends as well as our relatives.
Another interesting aspect of the log cabin is that it has a garage that is attached to the main part of the building and can accommodate two cars.
When the weather is more temperate, it is a delightful luxury to be able to pull into one’s driveway and not have to brace oneself against the stinging wind to enter one’s log cabin.
However, when the weather is more severe, it is a necessity to brace oneself against the wind to enter one’s log cabin. This is an exclusive benefit that is not available to all individuals.
The Living Room
With the assistance of the log cabin chairs that have been set around the fireplace, you will be able to create that cozy and welcoming nook in the living room that you have been fantasizing about for a while now. A night out at the movies with the whole family would go wonderfully here.
It is essential that you keep in mind that this fireplace can be found at every level of the log cabin, from the main floor to the lowest level of the basement.
In addition to that, there is a walkout basement, and the open living area that is located in the basement has a fireplace that is warm and inviting.
The idea of having a genuine family room downstairs in the basement in addition to a formal living area above is quite appealing to us. The formal living area would be located upstairs.
The Kitchen of the Log Cabin
Our log cabin requires, without a shadow of a doubt, that we have a contemporary kitchen. These include, but are not limited to, appliances made of stainless steel, an abundance of wood log cabinets, and stunning countertops; however, these are not the only features available.
The amount of free space in the kitchen that can be utilized for storage and preparation of food is increased when a functional island is positioned in the room’s center.
One of the things that sets this one apart from others is the fact that it includes a secondary sink on the side that is not adjacent to the dishwasher.
Because there is so much space in this section, you have the option of installing your very own private wet bar in the passageway that links the kitchen and the living area.
The Dining Table
Because this residence makes use of an open floor plan, the dining room, the living room, and the kitchen may all be found on the same floor of the structure.
This provides several distinct advantages. One of our favorite features is the dining nook that is placed in front of the windows below the great room fireplace. The windows that surround the fireplace in the great room are also one of our favorite features.
The Upstairs of the Log Cabin
There is a third story that may be found just above the main floor. The size of this story is roughly equivalent to that of the main floor.
If you want to make the most of the room, the high ceilings in this area will give you a lovely little open loft space that is large enough for a sofa, a few chairs, or perhaps even a workstation.
If you want to make the most of the space, you should make use of the loft space. We could easily see this space being used either as a play area for children or as a home office by the family.
The Upstairs Bedroom
The lofted bedroom that is located on the second story has high ceilings and magnificent exposed wood beams, just like the living space that is located on the first floor.
Due to the space it occupies, it would be a great choice for a master bedroom. You could even transform this area into a guest room by adding a couple of sets of bunk beds and converting it into a place that is dedicated to accommodating your grandchildren when they come to visit.
The amount of space available in this area is suitable for housing either a dresser or a chest of drawers, which can be used to organize and store your various articles of clothing.
It would not be difficult to construct a huge closet in this area, and doing so would not take up any additional space in the bedroom.
The Bathroom of the Log Cabin
When talking about the fact that the master bathroom that is located upstairs is a show stopper, there is no need to express the obvious because everyone already knows it.
Not only does it include a shower, but it also has a bathtub in which you can unwind and take long, soothing baths.
