Even though the shelter did not have any information about Velvet’s previous owners, they were determined to find her a living family and a permanent home regardless of the lack of information.

They made the decision to take a picture of the terrible cat and upload it to the internet, where it was viewed by countless people who were affected emotionally by her touching tale.
